Change a wrong amount
Use this when the entry is real, but something in it is wrong, like the amount or the date.
-
Find the entry
Go to the screen where you added it: Income, Expenses or Miles. Scroll down to the list of entries. Recent entries are also under Latest entries on the Home screen.
-
Tap it
Tap the entry. A panel slides up showing all its details.
-
Tap Edit
Tap Edit. The form opens with everything you typed before. Tap the box that's wrong, fix it, and tap the green save button at the bottom.
Remove an entry
Use this when an entry shouldn't be there at all, for example you added the same day twice.
-
Tap the entry
Find it in the list and tap it, just like above.
-
Tap Void (or Remove, for miles)
For takings, invoices and expenses tap Void. For miles, tap Remove.
-
Say why
Meter Max asks Why? Type a short reason, like entered twice or wrong app, then tap Void again to confirm.
The entry stays in the list marked Void, but it no longer counts towards any totals or tax.
Why can't I just delete it?
HMRC expects business records to be complete and honest. Voiding with a reason keeps a clear history of what happened, which protects you if HMRC ever asks questions. It doesn't affect your figures at all.
"This entry can't be changed"
Once a quarterly update or VAT return has been sent to HMRC, or a VAT return has been finalised, the entries in it are locked so the figures you sent stay the same. If you really need to change them:
