Free trial and subscription

Try every feature free, then choose monthly or yearly. Payments are handled safely by Google Play, and you can cancel any time.

Start your free trial

  1. Open the plans

    The plans appear by themselves after you first set up the app. Any other time, tap See plans on the Home screen, or open Settings (gear icon, top right) and tap See plans in the Subscription box.

  2. Pick monthly or yearly

    You'll see the price of each plan and how long the free trial lasts. The yearly plan shows how much you save compared with paying monthly. Tap the one you want.

  3. Confirm with Google Play

    Google Play opens a payment panel showing the trial and the price after it. Choose how to pay if asked, and tap Subscribe. You may need to confirm with your fingerprint or Google password.

    Meter Max never sees your card details. Google handles the payment.

When does the trial end? Google Play emails you a receipt showing the date. If you don't want to carry on, cancel before that date and you won't be charged.

What if I don't subscribe, or stop?

Your records always stay yours. Without an active trial or subscription, you can still:

  • open Meter Max and look at all your records and reports;
  • make a backup;
  • share and export your accounts.

You'll need a trial or subscription to add or change entries, and to send anything to HMRC.

New phone? Restore your purchase

Your subscription belongs to your Google account, not your phone. On a new phone, sign in with the same Google account, install Meter Max, then open Settings › Subscription and tap Restore purchase. Then restore your records from your backup (guide 12).

Cancel your subscription

  1. From Meter Max

    Open Settings (gear icon, top right), scroll to Subscription and tap Manage or cancel. This opens your subscription in Google Play.

  2. Or from the Play Store

    Open the Play Store, tap your picture in the top right, then Payments & subscriptionsSubscriptionsMeter Max.

  3. Tap Cancel subscription

    Follow the steps on screen. You can keep using Meter Max until the end of the time you've already paid for.

Deleting the app does not cancel it If you uninstall Meter Max without cancelling, Google Play keeps charging you. Always cancel in Google Play first.

Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own rules. See our terms for more.
